Wound Probe – A probe to measure wound size and shape

110.70

Available in packs of 50 sterilised, individually wrapped probes.

Description

The Advancis Wound Probe is a single use, disposable device designed for wound assessment.
It is used to measure the dimensions of a wound, including its width, length, and depth, to provide a comprehensive evaluation of wound size.
The probe body is strong, long, narrow and flexible, allowing for the assessment of single tracked sinus wounds, where only a primary track is present.

The probe can also be used to gently pack dressings.
To reduce trauma during assessment, the probe is smooth and has no raised or indented markings.
The ergonomic probe handle is ridged and designed to be easily gripped between finger and thumb while wearing medical gloves.

Instructions for Use

Use the probe to assess the wound by inserting into the wound. If the wound opening is smaller than the width of the probe a different form of assessment should be used and the probe should not be inserted.

Frequency of change
Single use, dispose of after assessment of wound.

Indications
Assessment of wound size (width, length and depth) and dressing of wounds.

• Pressure ulcers

Contra-indications
