Description

Algivon is a non-adherent alginate dressing impregnated with Activon medical grade Manuka honey. It has considerable antimicrobial activity against a broad spectrum of wound-infecting species and effectively reduces odours associated with malodorous wounds. Algivon effectively de-sloughs and de-brides wounds and absorbs exudates, helps to maintain a moist wound environment and aids the healing process. The absorptive properties help to prolong the retention of Activon Manuka honey at a wound site.
